Solar Power and LED Field Lighting

While researching synthetic and natural grass turf, the images of covered bleachers and field lighting caught my attention.

If facing south, the slanted roof over the bleachers would be pefect for collecting solar energy.

It would be ideal if the solar power could generate enough energy for LED field lighting, or at least off-set the electricity use.

Maine's Community-Based Renewable Energy pilot may be a source of funds (or maybe not).  We need to look into this.  If this is possible, I can help write the grant proposal if RSU5 is interested.
